Welcome to www.nolamasterplan.org, the official website for the New Orleans Master Plan and Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance project! The City Planning Commission wants everyone in New Orleans to be informed about and participate in the creation of the city’s Master Plan—our blueprint for the next 20 years—and the development of a new, user-friendly Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO). Your participation will help ensure that these important city documents will reflect our community’s vision and goals for the future, the policies that we want to follow, and the strategies that we decide to pursue to achieve the vision.
Here you will find information on the master planning and rezoning processes; details on how you can become involved; a calendar of master plan and CZO events; and, as they're developed,draft and final reports, maps, photos, videos and more. You’ll also find a place to tell us what you think – and read what others have said - about different issues related to the project.
The intent of this website is to provide a forum for the Master Plan / CZO that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will be updating the site regularly throughout the project, so please visit often. You can also sign up here to receive email alerts when there is something new on this website.
